Multi-criteria prioritization of the renewable power plants in Australia using the fuzzy logic in decision-making method (FMCDM)

Abstract The presented study focused on developing an innovative decision-making framework to select the best renewable-power-plant technologies, considering comprehensive techno-economic and environmental variables. Due favourable conditions, Australia was selected as case study. A fuzzy-logic method analytical hierarchy process were applied prioritize different renewable-energy power plants. factors included levelized cost of energy, initial cost, simple payback time, operation maintenance costs along with including carbon energy time greenhouse-gas emissions used rank results showed that capital had highest priority from economic point view. In comparison, dominant factors. analysis provided tables for plants in current state a future scenario by 2030. fuzzy pairwise composite matrix alternatives indicated onshore wind, offshore single-axis tracker polycrystalline photovoltaic, monocrystalline fix-tilted photovoltaic scored state. contrast, 2030, will be choice Australia. Finally, analysed recommend suggest several policy implementations research studies.
